Don Gooch, an 18-year employee who most recently served as southwest Arkansas community bank president, has been promoted to regional director of community bank presidents by Arvest Bank of Fayetteville.
Gooch will continue to work in Hot Springs and will advise Arvest community bank presidents in Conway, northeast Arkansas, Saline County and southwest Arkansas. Gooch’s primary roles will be to assist these community markets in their development strategies, marketing budget management and the allocation of Arvest Foundation donations to worthy causes.
“Don truly embodies the spirit of Arvest. He leads by example, motivates those around him and approaches every project with enthusiasm,” said Jim Cargill, president of Arvest Bank in central Arkansas. “We have been fortunate enough to have Don on our team since 2001, and hope to have him for much longer.”
Gooch joined Arvest in 2001 in Oklahoma City and moved to central Arkansas in 2008 as community bank president of Arvest Bank in Hot Springs. He was the 2019 chairman of the Hot Springs Chamber, president of United Way for Garland County, president of 50 for the Future in Hot Springs, president of the Hot Springs Rotary Club, Hot Springs Chamber Man of the Year and Hot Springs Sentinel Record 2016 Reader’s Choice Award for Man of the Year.
