Former presidential candidate and Forbes Media Chairman Steve Forbes will kick off a new webcast series presented by Arkansas Business next month featuring authors, entrepreneurs and key leaders in business and sports.
The 21st Century Business Forum, sponsored by CHI St. Vincent, is a monthly webcast hosted by bestselling author Jon Gordon, who has written extensively on leadership, sales and teamwork.
The show aims to inform and inspire Arkansas business leaders — executives, managers and entrepreneurs — with engaging interviews that yield practical advice for leading organizations and achieving success.
The first 40-minute episode, featuring an interview with Forbes, will broadcast at 11 a.m. Jan. 13.
Future episodes will feature interviews with:
- John Maxwell, an author and pastor whose books include “The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership” and “The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader.”
- Renee Mauborgne, an economist and professor at international business graduate school INSEAD, who co-wrote “Blue Ocean Strategy” and “Blue Ocean Shift.”
- Nick Saban, head football coach for the University of Alabama.
- Josh Linker, an entrepreneur and author who is currently CEO and managing partner of Detroit Venture Partners. He also founded several companies, including ePrize, an interactive promotion agency.
More guests and their broadcast times will be announced at a later date.
Forbes is chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media. His latest project is the podcast “What’s Ahead,” where he engages world newsmakers, politicians and pioneers in business and economics. Thoe show also features Forbes’ views on the intersection of society, economy and policy.
Forbes is the only writer to be a four-time winner of the prestigious Crystal Owl Award. Arkansas Business interviewed Forbes in 2011 before a speech he gave at Harding University in Searcy.
Gordon’s books include 2007’s “The Energy Bus: 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work and Team with Positive Energy” and 2018’s “The Power of a Positive Team: Proven Principles and Practices that Make Great Teams Great.”
